INITIAL CONSULTATIONS BY MAIL OR (preferably) BY E-MAIL

Telephone calls are accepted for introductions but in order to consider your commission inquiries we need to have them in writing.  Long distance calls left on our answering service will not be returned unless it is a toll-free call.

INITIAL CONSULTATIONS ARE FREE OF CHARGE

We will clearly inform you as to when we will begin charging you for our services when we send you instructions or explanations as to what we need after our initial consultations.

DESIGN WORK

Freehand sketches back & forth via e-mail or fax when practical for determining a basic style, we may go back and forth via e-mail with sketches.  This service is free of charge when it is practical.  We do not build ironwork from sketches; we only use them to get or share ideas.

FORMAL DESIGN WORK (after initial consultations)

This service is based on $65.00 per hour design rate, plus expenses for mailing, copies, etc.  During this phase all contact with the customer by phone is billed at the $50.00/hour rate plus phone charge.

Note:  Prior to the design work you will be given a projected contract price for the initial design which can serve as a "cap".  Changes and modifications will be billed separately.  A deposit will be required.   Complete plans will not be shipped to you until paid in full.

Whether by car or air will depend upon your location.   Air is based on round-trip ticket costs, accommodations, meals, transportation and an hourly or daily rate based on 8-hour days.  The daily rate is $500.00/day based on an 8-hour day.  Overtime past 8-hours is billed by the hourly rate.  Travel  is $65.00/man hour + expenses (gas, hotel, meals, airline tickets, etc.).

All our commissions have a contract price which is agreed upon before fabrication begins.  A deposit is required.  Hourly rate is $65 per man hour.  We have rate discounts when the job takes over a month.  Terms are delineated clearly in the contract.
